Who are you & what are your skills?

Are you passionate about business law and social law? Are you also familiar with IP, M&A and corporate law matters? A few things that are definitely important:

You have a master degree in Law from a recognized University.
You have at least a first experience as Legal Counsel or as Lawyer. Good knowledge and expertise in social law is a plus.
You have both a real appetite and understanding of the business activities.
You’re fluent in Dutch AND in English ; knowledge of French is a plus.
You are an excellent communicator and are known for your interpersonal skills and the quality of your listening skills.
You are responsive, rigorous and curious with good organizational skills.
You have a good critical mind and are always able to make proposals.

What will you be doing?

As a Legal Counsel, your role is to provide legal advice and support to the company on various legal matters. You ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, mitigate legal risks and provide guidance on corporate governance. You’re also involved in the permanent improvement and creation of processes within the legal department.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of the missions :

Contract Management:

Be actively involved in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with our clients and suppliers at worldwide level;
Manage the contract lifecycle;

Legal Support and Monitoring:

Provide HR legal expertise in order to give advices and roll-out projects on social law
matters;
Provide legal support regarding business matters, by advising the commercial team on various areas such as contractual law, company law, public law and civil law;
Monitor legal developments relevant for our activities, prepare memos and give internal presentations about upcoming rules and regulations and the implementation thereof within the company;

Compliance:

Provide in-house compliance services and support the management and the commercial team in their duty to comply with relevant laws and internal procedures.

Litigation Management:

Actively participate in the follow-up of litigations internally and with our external lawyers;
